Then back into Siem Reap and on route to the airport had time to drop into the Artisans d'Angkor where they had set up different rooms showing how the different local crafts was made.

Lunch as well so to end my short Cambodian visit decided in the Neary Khmer Restaurant to have fried beef with Khumer spice, chili paste, long bean, onion and Khumer spice US$ 4.

That’s my 4 days … well 3 full days in the Ankor area (Siem Reap) over and it’s time to head to the main act - Myanmar.

Loved seeing the different temples in their different state of disrepair and really worthy of the time here. I can see why people want to come here.

THANKS to my guide Pissa who’s local knowledge was really invaluable. Pointing out the little stuff that even a tourist like me if armed with a guidebook would not see.

Thanks also for pointing out places where to take the better photography angles.

Yes, having the aircon car ready to whizz me to the next site was both comfortable and neat. A tuk tuk would have been much slower.

So my order of favourite top four temples are: Ta Prohm, Bayon, Preah Khan and Banteay Srey but there is not much between them.
