The view of distant Ankor Wat was great and trying to take a picture of it without the big green tarp covering part of the front was a challenge.
The balloon by Ankor Wat was tethered to the ground = $15 for 15 minutes.
The sunset was unfortunately not good ... judge for yourself. At least I took them all set with later HDR in mind. At least I had my Cambodian sunset photos last Wednesday from bobbling around on Tonle Sap lake. Tonight was so different with so many people crammed behind me and all here for the same reason.
Phnom Bakheng is a Hindu temple in the form of a temple mountain. Dedicated to Shiva, it was built at the end of the 9th century, during the reign of King Yasovarman (889-910). Located atop a hill, it is nowadays a popular tourist spot for sunset views of the much bigger temple Angkor Wat, which lies amid the jungle about 1.5 km to the southeast.
