Cuy or Guinea Pig for dinner

Somehow I was "bumped" (transferred) onto another airline and made my own way back to Quito. Yes, G Adventures had a transfer waiting for me to take me back to Hotel Quito. I don't know why I was separated from the others coming back with me. Never mind ... at least I got back about an hour after them!
Last night's meal before I head to Peru. They had cuy or guinea pig on the La Ronda's menu so why not and have a try! I am glad they didn't serve me the whole guinea pig head and all!
What did it taste like?
A bit like chicken but others said it taste like rabbit.
Very tender it was.
