DAY 78 – Sun 15 April 2012
Well – we had been warned that the first of the golfers would be teeing off at 7am!! However the green-keeper was here before them with his mower out on the greens….. It must have been a bit nippy for the early birds. By the time we drove off with the caravan the carpark was full! As we drove north Ros got a text from a distant cousin saying it was OK for us stay at her place so we did a left turn for Okato in Taranaki. We didn't get there till after 3 o’clock so it was quite a long day’s driving for Bruce. We were made so welcome by everyone especially since we had never met – just emailed each other! We also met some more of the family when they came for dinner. There was lots of family chat over the meal which was fantastic. Ros now knows more about this branch of the family – our great grandfathers were brothers…..
