It's been a week of "lasts" for Bruce - last assembly, last bus and playground duty, last time to say "see you" to the kids at school! His official farewell was on Thursday and the children had put
together a slide show of his years at Turua. Where did you find those photos??? There were speeches, skits and singing - both Bruce and the kids were a bit tearful especially when it was time to go.
Last night we had dinner with Megan and her family up at their place. It was dinner with entertainment!! Thank you Nicole for your magic show and thanks to your lovely assistant, Tiana. We will make sure we send real postcards to you as we travel. Stuart and his family are meeting us today; how much will you have grown by the time we see you in December, Michael??
It will be a long haul tonight as we fly to Vancouver then bus and ferry to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Hopefully we will get some shuteye on the night flight.
