Firstly, the Great Wall of China is not visible with the naked eye from space - this is a myth. It is true however that the wall is spectacular.

I knew we were trekking up to the Great Wall but I didn't realise how hard it would be. It was probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. The walk can take up to 6 hours although we managed to do it in 4, which we're told is a new intrepid record!

The wall is 6000km long - 4000 miles AND WE WALKED 12 KM。

PLEASE EXCUSE THE SUDDEN CAPS - I MANGED TO PUSH A COMBINATION OF KEYS TOGETHER AND NOW CHINESE LETTERS COME UP WHEN I TYPE IN LOWER CASE!EG: 合理咯故意上。

WOOPS。

A LOCAL FARMER MET US HALF WAY AND WE STOPPED FOR LUNCH。 HE SOLD ICE CREAMS AND COLD WATER AND BEER。I SKIPPED THE BEER ALTHOUGH OTHERS HAPPILY INDULGED!

THE TERRAIN WAS VERY UP AND DOWN, SO THE WALK WAS INCREDIBLY HARD BUT THE VIEWS WERE SO AMAZING AND WE GOT TO SEE SO MUCH MORE THAN OTHERS WOULD BY ACTUALLY WALKING IT RATHER THAN DRIVING TO A LOOK OUT POINT, TAKING SOME PHOTO’S AND LEAVING。

THERE‘S A CHINESE SAYING: YOU ARE NOT A REAK PERSON UNTIL YOU HAVE CLIMBED THE GREAT WALL。

SO THEREFORE I MUST BE REAL PERSON NOW!!
