Christmas came to Honduras this week, as all the kids were practicing for the Christmas programme. We had a normal week until Thursday, then Friday was devoted to practicing for and then performing for the other children and parents.

Also, on Thursday, Mr Pierre came to Cofradia. Mr Pierre is Maddie's father and he arrived on Thursday. He came with us to Miss Bety’s house for dinner and Spanish/English practice, and then into school on Friday.

I spent much of the start of Friday filing paperwork, writing a year 5/6 test for January, and generally tidying up the science room. Then at 10am the programme started. Loads of parents came, which was really nice. The school had moved the performance from the afternoon to the morning, and this was a real success; when it had been in the afternoon, apparently few children and their parents came. Anyway, this time it was different. Each class sang a song or danced, and even us volunteers had to sing "silent night" in Spanish! It was a great day and my last day at the school and in Honduras.

In the evening, maddie and I were trying to get a presentation sorted as well as trying to pack. Maddie, Zan, Kris, and Bryan are heading for Utila, and many of the others are heading back to the US.
