It would be four buses and 2 days before I shower. But here I am in Chiclayo, 3 buses from Banos, a 2hr border crossing at 1am & no map.

I find a tour agent & got a map. It had all the bus companies offices on. I walked between them down a 6 block length. All the big companies had full buses tonight to Lima. Not surprising as Saturday and end of local holidays for some.

Had to go with el Local Cheapo Bus Company. I left my main bag with them in hope it survived the day in storage.

I took a group taxi to a famous museum 11kms out of town, Royal Tombs of Sipan! In 1987 archeologists uncovered the tombs from a Peruvian Pyramid. That's right when the Egyptians did their thing, so did the Peruvians. It was all pre-Inca. Gold, pottery and bones all uncovered from a 16 layer crypt. Was an excellent exhibition but No camera allowed :(

Returned to chiclayo on local bus, grabbed a bit to eat, a shoe shine & then headed out to Lima

Hey babe, at least you got to split up the journey in Chicalayo. Such long bus trips! And that is the place that family recommended to visit too! Hopefully the rest of the trip to Lima was ok. Love me x
