After 2 weeks in Egypt I was thankful for the smaller things in life, like smooth toilet paper. Egypt was a place where you needed those luxuries, but instead it was denied to be replaced with sand paper.
The 1st 4 days here it rained. As such I spent time sorting out my future trips and trying to update this blog site. Uploading pictures has proved very time consuming!
I was pleased that the weather improved, so HK is all beautiful again.
An afternoon was spent on the beach in St Stephens Bay. The water wasn't outstanding but it was very relaxing.
Amy was in town, it was wonderful to catch up with her. She did a great job of helping me spend my money on a new day backpack & trekking shoes. We also spent an afternoon visiting a Buddhist Monastery in Sha Tin with an evenings seafood extravaganza in Sai Kung. Thank you Amy, your the best!
After a heavy weekend enjoying the other side of HK I headed back to Sai Kung for hikking. It took a hard 2 hr walk to reach the peak of the highest mountain in HK, Ma On Shan (705m). Sweaty work!

Pit Stop successful; China, Mongolian & Russia visa's obtained. Russian itinerary all arranged in advance, very painful.
