Hello everybody,

Well I am 10 days into my 100 day voyage and have just returned back from a trip at the Eco-lodge beach resort in Venezuela. I have got some amazing things to talk about, so here ya go:

It all started when the owner of the resort said that we would be traveling about 3 hours to the hotel, well in Venezuela aparently that means 7. We were first delayed from the start about 3 hours and that was legitimate because of embassy approval and everything. However, on the way there we drove through a windy mountain pass with our huge bus and found ourselves stuck in an accident. We were stranded on this mountain for about 2 hours with no food, water, or bathrooms. (The guys were okay, but the chicks had a tough time). We finally arrived at our resort, and the owner set us up woth some rooms and we passed out.

The next day I had an amazing time at the coral lagoon, where we all were able to snorkel, swim, and jam out to some music. I met a kid by the name of Abrahamm who I got to play soccer with, he kicked my butt. Neverthless, I talked with him for hours about the politics of the country and Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan president. We swapped emails and he told me that he had a different perception of the American people.

The next day was rather rigorous, with a 4 mile hike up the Cloud forest mountains. We hked through tons and tons of trees and insects. We found the cacau plant, where we got to eat the stuff that you make chocolate with. It was kind of bitter, but also kind of tasty.

The trip back couldn't of had more problems. First the bus was 2 hours late and was packed to the brim. We finally left and it seemed like things were going smooth for about an hour, then someone felt sick with travellers diahrea so we had to stop. I got out to pee because everyone else was and in the process I stepped in dog poop and trucked it back onto the bus. It was the smelliest bus ride I had ever been on. I ended up putting my shoes in the trunk and cleaning them later, but there was still skid doo doo everywhere. Then as a result, people felt sick to there stomach and we had to stop another time. The trip home took 7 hours and I passed out.

All in all I had a great time in Venezuela interacting with the locals and practicing my espanol. I have some pictures that will be in the photoalbum on my website if you would like to check them out. I'll make another update once I get done with Brazil, but until then, "Hasta la vista!"
