From Prague, we took a bus down to the town of Cesky Krumlov for two days and one night. It is very beautiful, with most of the town being surrounded almost all the way around by the Vltava River, making for many cute little pedestrian bridges. There isn't much to do in the town except enjoy the pretty sights and many cafes. The fall colours were pretty, but it was really cold so we couldn't enjoy the many terraces over the river. I think it would be particularly lovely in summertime. We wondered if anyone goes tubing around the city! Maybe that is a North American pastime? One weird thing was the number of Asian tourists in Cesky Krumlov in particular. Yes, they are generally everywhere, but there were probably 10 Asians for every non-Asian tourist. There are also about a million scarves for sale on every corner. Anyways, we definitely enjoyed our little side trip and would recommend it.
