The Ellora Caves are a group of Buddhist, Hindu and Jain-carved caves, turned into Monasteries, Chapels and Temples. There are 34 caves in total all dating between 600AD-1000AD. The main temple is a Hindu cave called the Kailasa temple. This is a World Heritage Monument and is the largest monolithic (one stone) sculpture formed in Ellora.
We wandered around these magnificent caves for a few hours and took lots of pictures.
