A quick overnight stop in Latacunga to enable me to access Lake Quilotoa. This is a beautiful crater lake which shines blue in the sunlight!
Very worthwhile visit, if only to hike down, paddle around the lake and hike back up again. Most people do it as part of a 2 or 3 day hike or drive in a loop from latacunga passed the crater lake. We jsut did it as a day trip due to the short time available.

So glad you made it to Quilotoa! It's hands down on of my top favorite sights, especially on a clear day! (which as you know can be tricky in Ecuador)
