Today we walked to Odori Park where the 63rd Annual Yuki Matsuri is held. Odori Park spans 12 blocks and is full of sculptures, food vendors, and tourists. There were 7 giant masterpiece sculptures, each 15m high and 20m wide.
One the way home we stopped at MaxValu, one of the cheaper supermarkets, to get some food for supper. We have walked by the deli section, where they have hot food, numerous times in the past, but always decided against it. Tonight we went for it and got a tempera onion and shimp cake, which we put on top of our soba noodles. We also got two skewers of meat that we assumed were beef and chicken. To our surprise the skewers turned out to be chicken skin and beef liver!
For the rest of the evening we are going to plan what other sites we are going to see. I know the Sapporo Brewery is on the top of Adam's list! Hope you enjoy the pictures.
