The flight departed Delhi airport at 01:05 and we arrived at Bangkok airport at 07:00 Bangkok time. We slept through the whole flight due to a combination of exhaustion and a sleeping pill.
Upon our arrival we went through immigration and customs without any problems. We then took a taxi to Randy's home. During the drive, the taxi driver was almost excessively polite. When we got to Randy's home, we realized why: The taxi meter was showing that we had covered a distance of 40 kilometers, whereas the distance from Randy's home to the airport is 30 kilometers. Randy pointed out this discrepancy to the driver, who admitted that he had been having problems with his meter and would have the problem looked into as soon as possible. (Ha!) Knowing that he had been caught, the driver asked Randy how much he thought the ride should cost and Randy told him the usual price, which the driver immediately accepted - a sure sign of his guilt.
We rested between toilet runs for the remainder of the day and evening.
