Today we went downtown to do site seeing, and while there we went to the train station to purchase tickets for a trip Khon Kaen which is in the North Eastern part of Thailand.
Note: Sidewalks in Thailand are not made for walking. Street vendors have taken over. Food preparation (cooking) and selling is common. Other vendors are peddling their goods, everything from fruit, vegatables, shoes, books, clothes, watches, drugs and sex. You name it and it can be found. Motor cycles run up and down the sidewalks as well as parked vehicles. Street vendors set up their booths in front of places of business, shopping malls, banks etc., anywhere there is an open spot.
Later that afternoon we walked over to the Chao Phraya River where we boarded a boat for a river site seeing tour of the river front. A rather interesting trip.
