I started the East Cape Circuit with all my gear - so far the roads are empty, the scenery is amazing and the hills have never been tougher.  I spent about a week at a Farmstay, just helping clean the hostel and work with the horses some to pay for accomodation and food.  Heading to Gisborne tomorrow - a popular region where you can spend all day at free wine tasting, which is great since alcohol has not been in my budget for a while now.
