8am...well, after a good night's sleep at the University of Saint John, NB, we got on the road. We made a quick stop in the famous City Market in Saint John, to take a peek, and get some coffee and breakfast. It was real worthwhile stop, because we had a chance to see a great public market. There were vendors selling everything from recycled jewelry to exotic fruit! We walked around for a bit, finally buying two nectarines, a homemade breakfast wrap and filling up our coffee cups for the road. So long Saint John! It's been a blast. :)

12:30pm...Got through the US Border with no issues. We were both pretty nervous considering the amount of rocks (including a small fossil...shhhh) that we were bringing back. But our nervousness proved to be moot, because the trooper was apparently from Rochester, and eased us right through! Didn't even have to pay the duty on all our alcohol! Woohoo! Yay U.S.A!!!!

4:30pm...Arrived in Portland. Decided to walk around the Old Port part of town before checking into the hotel. What a lovely day. The skies were blue, and it was about 91 degrees. Pretty oppressive heat, but the breeze kept it bearable. We shopped a little bit...I went BACK to the Black Dog for a shirt, and we poked our heads in a few other shops before heading to dinner at Gritty McDuff's Brewery and Pub. We got a small table at the downstairs bar, and ordered some of the local brew. A thick stout for me, and a summer ale for Kelly. Both were fantastic, and we ordered a nice dinner. I had surf & turf....steak was perfect, and the lobster although tiny, was pretty good. I also got a half-pound of mussels. Nice! Kelly had a big Caesar salad and a hearty bowl of chowder. We hung out for a little bit, then took on off to the hotel. We spent the evening writing out post cards and relaxing in our quaint room watching some TV in the cool A/C. Very cool :) LOL
Tomorrow is the long drive to NYC/NJ for Coldplay and the last night of our honeymoon! Can't believe it's already here! Night all....
