Singapore is mostly about food!!! Love the MRT (trains) what a buzz. Actually took a bus also from the Botanical gardens today to Bras Bashir (where my hotel is (100m from raffles and chijmes an interesting place at night.
Rained most of the day Tuesday but you can live and travel nearly everywhere under ground here.
I found a suit maker. Bargained from $1890 to $650 fpor a fully lined cashmere 100% wool tailored suit. Greey with slight variation in weave in stripes giving a very subtle stripe effect
Went to the Singapre Art Museum. Modern art is still way off my psyche. I saw a bunch of 240v globes hanging and jangling on some mirrors; a bunck of french stick men and some electric devices causing soome drums to boom; some suspended manaquins, some cardboard cutouts in hangman's nooses and a bunch of doors that looked like they came off a toilet block covered in graffiti; but the most ridiculous was a rom full of plastic dummies with all sorts of drill bits and knives stuck in them depicting torture.
----------- We don't have to reflect the gross - we can change the atmosphere with peace and love. Thats my bit.--------
I have been to Marina Bay Sands 3 x towers for diner with Maree (neighbor) brother it is the marvel with the boat like structure spanning the 3 x towers on the roof - pool n all.
I have been up orchard rd a few times (suit and shops). Hot crowded and fun.
Took a walk up Emerald hill.
Food n drink is s little expensive. Went to Raffles for a beer in the Long Bar ($22) but it was nice.
Spent yesterday wandering around the Singapore river area and Clarke Quay and Robinsons Quay. Had a steak dinner and took a boat trip around the river for an hour.
Actually I got lost and found myself miles out of town. Thank goodness for the MRT (train System).
Got an email from my boss to attempt to get excess baggage approved (Sing Air want $65 a kilo) otherwise it will be a posty box for the ski gear
Off to China town tonight for dinner.
Out of the hotel tomorrow and fly to my love 11:30 pm.
Spent an hour round the pool today.
