As days go this one has been pretty shite. The group had to get up early to leave for the port. So there we all where at the breakfast table, waiting waiting waiting. Finally we got into separate cabs and headed off to the port. Unfortunately the Argi taxi drivers don't appear to know what they are doing. Most of us ended up in completely the wrong place even though the drivers where given clear instructions.Once we had all walked to the correct place waiting was the name of the game once more.

There we sat in a large aircraft hanger type thing waiting to be called into the office. Chinese whispers were floating around saying it was gonna take half an hour per person to sign and sort out the release documents for the bikes. 20 riders, half hour each, thats 10 hours of our favorite pastime, waiting.

Finally Barry was the first to go in. 40 seconds later he was out. It was looking promising. I went in about 4th or 5th, sat down, signed my name twice, he glanced at my passport and V5 and I was out. Couldn't have taken 30 seconds. Thats more like it!

Steve, Nick, Martin and I jumped in a cab and headed back to base. Hopefully all this means we will have our bikes tomorrow and be on our way. HELL YEAH BABY !!!

A few of us then walked round the corner to get some chain lube and try and find the elusive Argy flag sticker to put on our screens so when we get to border crossings it looks like we are friendlies. No joy. We have been looking for days to no avail. It was then up the road to a cafe for a rank sandwich and a coke.

I had been feeling a little dizzy and had a bit of a headache all day but once I got back to the hostel it really started to kick in. Ive not been a sufferer of migraines but this bad boy really took hold. As they day wore on it got worse. At about 8pm I felt sick and had the shakes big time. I grabbed the bin and had a big retch but nothing happened. I instantly started to sweat and was drenched within 15 seconds. Suz called Caroline (our trip doc) up to check me out. It was very weird coz I instantly started to feel better after nearly hurling into the bin. My pulse was OK and didn't have a fever so it didn't look to fatal. I have never felt so rough and then recovered in such a short amount of time before. John has also been in a bad way but he has had it for a couple of days. Hopefully thats the end of it though.

Everyone has now gone out for dinner which they eat very late over here . The restaurants don't open till 8pm and even some evenings when we walk past them people are still eating into the small hours. I couldn't do that every night. Going to bed with a belly full of grub, I wouldn't be able to sleep. So here I am, Billy no mates talking to youz lot.

Oh well time to listen to some Led zep on the 20 mp3 player. That will cure the headache!
