Our next stop took us to the residence of our cousin Tim and his soon-to-be wife Lisa in downtown SanFran. Pete had never been there before and was thoroughly impressed by it all. I had visited once before, with my waterski teammates, after Allstars in Chico in early summer 2004. Back then we stayed in a hotel and took the Bart into the city and explored somewhat aimlessly. Now we were staying downtown, with people who know the city and all the cool places to go. We even had a hostage, Grant, who had no problem with us stealing him for the weekend.
Unfortunately Pete and I didn't often have the chance to hang out with Tim when we were growing up; he is older than Jasen and was all grown up by the time us younger Mommers were around to remember it. He's an awesome guy, really humble, and you can always count on him for a good time. Tim openly shared his home, stories, and alcohol with us and is probably my favorite cousin for being such a stand up guy.
We spent the weekend going out to restaurants, bars, and famous S.F. landmarks. The Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermans Wharf, the gigantic park in the middle of the city, Chinatown, the hippies, the homos, the beach and the hobos, we saw it all. By the way, Tim and Lisa and everyone else we stayed with have an open invitation to crash at our place, wherever and whenever we end up.
