After some drinking and dancing (Yes! Brett danced!) last night, we enjoyed a nice leisurely day in Tallinn, Estonia. We didn't sign up for a guided tour, but instead decided to just walk the city ourselves.
Tallinn is a medieval town that was put on the world map in 1154. The "old town" is surrounded by a stone wall and the modern city of Tallinn surrounds it. The old town is now just a tourist attraction with cafes, souvenir shops, boutique hotels and museums. We walked around town for a couple of hours. The weather was about 45 degrees, but in the sun it was really nice.
This is one of the nicest cruise ships we’ve been on. The staff is really nice and the ship is a great size so it’s easy to find your way around. The evening entertainment is OK. I made Brett sit through a Broadway style show last night and 15 minutes in he was snoring.
Tomorrow morning we arrive in St. Petersburg, Russia. We expect this to be the highlight of the trip. We have two full days of sightseeing planned with a local guide.
