Morning all! So today started off pretty interesting. We went to our International Business class at 830am and the teacher had an english vocab of about 4 words. haha the teacher last week spoke pretty good english, he set up the class so that other professors would come in and teach in their area of expertise. Luckily for us, we all left our 3.5hr class after only 30minutes. There are supposed to be another 7 different teachers coming in for the rest of our time so who knows what we'll get next. Finally got the first homework out of the way, and it was with our WSU teacher. the Chinese students here dont normally get homework so when Bernie announced that there would be, they all let out a huge groan. haha. Already one week here in China has gone by pretty slow for me. We have been busy doing things all day and night, Im sure that as time goes on that will slow down and time will fly by. Today is a big day for Cougar basketball taking on the Dawgs in Seattle.  There was a big article in the Seattle times about DeAngelo Casto talking about his life and struggles. Its a good but sad article, ill post the link below. Hopefully that will motivate him to play a good game, along with the rest of the team. Were going to try and watch it here on game tracker or maybe find a radio feed. Go Cougs!

Yesterday we were fortunate enough with good weather to go see the Panda's!! We took a long bus ride but got to stop at the McDondalds. hahaha typical americans, but we were in a hurry! The food tastes alot better than in the states. Im not sure if its because I havent had any in a while but it was delish. Of course, i had to get a mcflurry to satisfy my ice cream bug. Getting to the park we had to walk a little while to get to the viewing area. They were separated by large adult panda, and smaller cubs. The big panda's weren't as big as i thought they were going to be. Also, they were more of a yellowish color than a white. I was snapping pictures like crazy, just trying to get the perfect photo. I got some really good ones that you can see below. One of the panda's was just chillen eating the whole time we were there. Others were just walking around or lounging. They seemed to love posing for all the cameras. haha I also snatched up a panda hat from the gift shop that you'll see. Its pretty awesome, you'll see me rocking it around pullman for sure. The baby panda were so cute! there were 2 of them, climbing and playing with each other. We saw them again later with the momma and she was cleaning them off and dragging them up the hill trying to wake them up. ahhaha sooo funny. Next we saw an animal that ive never heard of seen before, the red panda. I never knew these things existed, but they were pretty cool. They are alot smaller, with longer tails and alot more mobile than the panda. They move just like them though, with the whole waddle. We actually saw 2 of them fight, it was pretty sudden and I didnt have enough time to get my camera out to film it. In all, the panda trip was awesome! its not everyday that you get to go and see panda's being that they are an extremely endangered species.

Afterwards, we headed over for a nice dinner with the whole group. It was a girls birthday in a group so Bernie took us all out and treated us to a really nice meal. We had what they call "hot pot" its sorta like fondue that we have in the states. We all had our own pots though, so that was pretty cool. Bernie ordered us alot of different dishes to try. We had pork, lamb, beef, noodles, tofu, veggies, and stomach. Yes, you heard me. I tried stomach. It actually wasn't that bad, just really chewy.ahahaha. Then we all had birthday cake then headed home for the day. It was a really fun day with everyone getting to see some pretty cool things.

Anyways, hopefully you all are going to be tuning in and cheering for the Cougs tonight in their battle with UW. Thanks for checking in and following me in my journey here in China. Talk to you all soon!
