Before we got to the Bad Lands in South Dakota, we made a diversion to Wounded Knee. For those who dont know, Wounded Knee is a small indian town, where the US army fought/ massacred a whole lot of Sioux, which essentially became the last engagement of the so called indian wars. We visited the grave sites of the indians and spent a good amount of time talking to a sioux lady, who was selling necklaces and telling the indian version of what happened there. The area still has a weird feeling, or is that just our imaginations, either way we were please we went.
Onward to the badlands,we set up camp at a very nice campground in the small town of Interior, there is a national park campground nearby, which looked real nice, but we wanted internet to plan our next few days. I will let the photos speak for themselves.... AMAZING!!!
