We have decided to spend a few days here. Yesterday we visit Monticello, which was Thomas Jefferson's house at the time he and the other wise men wrote the Declaration of Independence, Monticello is the house that is on the US nickel ( 5 cents), no doubt he was a very clever man and the Americans love him, but he was certainly a contradiction, although he wrote "all men are equal", he had something like 500 slaves!!!!

The bikes are still proving to be very useful, as they offer a completely different experience when travelling down back roads or exploring small towns.

The Olympics started yesterday, its funny how the TV channels showed the opening ceremonies at 7.30 pm (prime time), yet they were delayed by almost 12 hours , but this fact was carefully hidden from us viewing the show. It would appear that the folks at the TV stations don't think that the citizens of America, could handle the time differences!!! There were no live broadcasts yesterday that we could find, I am not sure there will be any live events.
