What I did
Subsistence Fishing
With the Sockeye Salmon still running and the Coho push about to being we decided to head down to Ern's family cabin's on the Kenai Peninsula to put some fish into his freezer and also fill some small orders of salmon.
With a perfect forecast we headed out on the 5 hour drive down the Seward Highway and along the beach to the cabins.
We fished three tides and managed to catch about 30 fish, being late reds they were nice big fish and at 6-8+ lbs each.
We had three days of perfect, clear and hot weather which was nice after a few wet days in Anchorage lately.
It was a successful trip and good to get a bit of relaxation done.
