Our initial plan was to buy a tent and a vehicle and camp across the states, staying in hotels or cabins once in awhile. We soon realized we're too used to A/C, microwaves, refrigerators, etc....and that maybe we needed something to keep our FOOD in and the BUGS out along the way...so here's what we ended up with:

We are now the proud owners of a gas-guzzling Dodge RAM 2500, V10 (488 cu in 8.0 ltr) truck, complete with hauling package (aka the Beast) and a slighty aged but excellent condition Jayco Eagle 26ft 5th wheel camper (aka the Eagle) complete with A/C, power, water, toilet, shower, queen bed, microwave, stove, refrigerator, lights, stereo, and all that...and it sleeps SIX! Quite a jump up from a tent!

We are now official trailer trash but by damn we're gonna be travelling in style! We also picked up some camping guides, bought a National Parks annual pass and a bunch of maps to get us started. Guess we now need to plan our route?
