Today my colleague Dustin and I were invited to teach English to poor/migrant students at a nearby university here in Shanghai. This has been something I've wanted to do here for a while, so I jumped at the chance. Originally we thought we would be teaching conversation skills to high school students, but when we walked in, half the room was under 10! I immediately took the chance to teach a different class and dust-off what I learned from my time in Brazil, and it was great. I'm including a video I cut together of the experience for us to use at our center -- I've watched this a few times now and it still makes me smile. The kids were fantastic -- can't wait to do it again!
