I got in touch with a local in Havana, Erik, and he has found a nice and hopefully comfortable accomodation for me in Havana Vedado, which is one of the older parts of the Havana city center and right in the middle of the nightlife scene in this city.. therefore not only crazily awesome for me... (which it is of course!).. but also for my thesis since I am writing about music experiences about the locals and tourists! I will stay at this casa particulares for, at least, my first 2 nights and after that I am planning to move probably to a cheaper casa.
Funny thing is, I will arrive at January 27th and January 28th is a kind of national holiday/party, since it is the date of birth of Jose Marti, who was a freedom fighter for the independence of Cuba!!
So my first few days will be awesome ( I suspect..)
I will let you know after having arrived in Havana!
