So we left Cork and about mid-way through our drive to Dublin, Brandon looks at our tickets and realizes that I haf mis-read the departue time and ur flight left quite a bit earlier than I had thought. Pedal to the metal time to try and get the car back and check in. Only problem was that there was something happening Ireland in regards to ploughing matches. I guess this is something that everyone and their dog comes out to watch. There was a part of highway that took us about an hour to go maybe 5km due to the plough competition spectators (wtf!). We were doomed to miss our flight, time for a new plan. The car had to be back ASAP so we knew that had to be done. We filled up at the station nearest the car lot at €1.39/L. They checked over the car, didn`t notice the newly added scuffs and scrapes I had put on the passenger side wheels from rubbing a couple curbs and we were on our way to the airport. We decided to fly directly into France instead of doing th chunnel trip from England... might even save us a few bucks in the long run anyway I thought. We checked Ryanairs next flight to Paris - it was leaving in a couple of hours so we go and see what it will cost. Over €200 each to fly last minute so we decide to fly tomorrow for €49 each. We got a hotel nearby with a free shuttle, check in and embark in search of a laundromat. We walked with day bags full of dirty clothes keeping our eyes peeled as we made our way to the city centre. We figured finding a self serve laundry place would be no problem. We couldn`t find anything but a cleaners that was willing to wash what was less than 2 full loads of laundry for the low low price of only..... drumroll..... €18! No chance in hell I`m paying over $30 CDN for clean shorts. We took a city bus back to the hotel and slept. We had to be up at 3:45AM for the flight.
