Most of my friends are so anxious to leave Alpena; move on to imagined 'bigger and better things'. For me, this is not the case. Even though I live 25 minutes out of town, I have traveled there daily. This has been such a good place to grow up, and I am sad to leave it behind.

As I mentioned to you, Brandon, the adventure you are about to embark upon, will change your life. Alpena will always be home and you can never really leave it behind because it is truly a part of you. Your world is going to become so large and it will make you even more well rounded, caring and open minded than you already are...I am so excited and proud of you!
