.....of course he did! Today, I had the all-important Assessment Day, as I had to take written tests over all eight attractions I will be responsible for, in addition to a fairly substantial test about Disney Quest in general. Questions included everything from "What is the duration of Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam" (2 minutes and 59 seconds) to "How long do you have to unload passengers from Cyber Space Mountain in the event of a power outage?" (90 seconds). The written test included about 35 questions for EACH ride, so I tried to fly through the tests to get them over with! I also had a meeting with my main manager, and he said he had heard "really good" things about me, so that made my day! He probably just made that up to make me feel good about myself, but I don't care!

The other portion of Assessment Day involved actually operating the various attractions in front of several trainers. While this was a little daunting at first, I work best under pressure, so I was fine. However, I was a complete jinx today, as six of the eight attractions had something break on them when I was operating them! Oh well-I am glad it happened today, instead of on my first day trainer-free. One girl, on spiel day today, broke down into tears when someone said "We can't hear you!" Poor thing! Her microphone was not on the correct setting, and I guess she was bawling...not balling. I am glad I am not afraid of public speaking!

I am currently completely exhausted as Michael, Laura, Courtney, and I
went to the 11:30 showing of Tangled last night at Downtown Disney.
While it was no Lion King, it was entertaining, although I am not sure
if it was worth the $11.50 I spent on it! Oh well, we aren't in Kansas
anymore, Toto...or Nebraska. Before the movie we did some souvenir
shopping at the World of Disney, and Laura and I had pretzels from
Wetzel Pretzel(I had the pepperoni and jalapeno-delicious). We didn't get back to the apartment until after 1:45, so I am completely wiped out!

On another note, I've heard some pretty crazy stories the past couple of days, and here are some of my favorites:
1. Kevin Federline was at Disney Quest about a year ago, and his presence caused mass chaos.
2. When Whitney Houston was visitng a year or so ago, they had to escort her out through a fire escape once people knew she was there.
3. A man once asked my trainer when she was working on Cyber Space Mountain if his service dog could ride, as well. Seriously, those vehicles go upside down many times, and riders are strapped in just like they were on a real roller coaster. Can you imagine a dog held onto the ride with the coaster restraints?
4. A man asked my trainer how to exit the building(they were on the third floor). She said, "The elevators are right behind you, sir! Take those, and the exit will be right in front of you." He replied, "Ok! Thanks!" and then boarded the elevator. About two minutes later the doors opened, and the man ran up to my trainer in a state of rage. He yelled "You never told me if I need to go up or down!!!!!"  I am not sure how someone would safely leave the building from an exit door on the fifth floor, but who knows! Obviously, the entrances and exits for Disney Quest are on the first floor!
5. A Spanish man was not understanding some instructions a girl was giving in English. He approached her, put his arm on her shoulder, and asked, "Ahhh...girl-do you speak Spanish?" She replied no. He then said "Do you speak English?" She said yes...and he replied "Well I....do not," as he walked away.
6. One of the female employees at Disney Quest had some town in California listed as her hometown. Another person asked her about this, as he was from San Francisco, and had never heard of this place. She said it wasn't a real town, but it was where Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer lives. A girl who was a former employee of Disney Quest had the pin-creators put "Raccoon City" as her hometown. Apparently, this is a fictional town as well. One of the workers in the break room said if you told Disney you were from outer space, they would put that as your hometown. I love the crazy conversations in the break room!
And my personal favorite...
7. A man approached the Cyber Space Mountain ride with a large plush Sonic the Hedgehog toy. He asked my trainer if Sonic could ride. She was baffled by this request, and responded with something like "Uh...well....he won't be able to join you, no. I'm sorry but all personal belongings must be stored in the lockers." The man with Sonic said, "Well I don't want to ride, I just think Sonic would have fun riding it!" My trainer did not really know what to say, except only actual people are able to ride Cyber Space Mountain. Apparently, the man then waited in line for another hour before he asked another worker if Sonic could ride by himself. Seriously.I hope something like this happens to me!

Well, I just did an assignment for a UNK class- woop woop! Tomorrow, I have my FINAL day of training-greeter training. This is a separate entity from Attractions training, as Greeter Day introduces cast members to working the turnstiles and our fancy elevators. After tomorrow, I will have the necessary training to work at a variety of events at any park, including parades, Fantasmic, etc. I can sign up for extra shifts if I please, and I might just for something fun to do if I'm ever bored. However, I think I will be extremely busy until I leave in May, so we will see about picking up extra shifts. Good night! Dream of Bradley, and have a magical day!
