Where I stayed
I met a really great Swiss doctor named Fabrizio Branca. He speaks five
languages and has been helping me get around. We are sharing a dormatory room
at Gringo Pete´s. We went to the Parque de Nationale de Arenal today by bus.
We watched the lava flows and heard the volcano erupting slowly. We saw some
wildlife. We then walked 10 kilometers to a canopy tour. We paid $42 when the
price was $66. We hitchiked back into town with a couple from Seattle that we
did the canopy tour with. I have a video of me going down the cables. I kept
getting stuck in the middle of the cables and had to pull myself to the other
side by hand. It was a very good day. Fabrizio is going on to Monteverde and I
will miss having him interpret and negotiate for me. Very few people speak
english where I have been going.
