For christmas Becs got me a fishing liscence for NZ. So for the past two weeks in NZ We have been casting a line into pretty much every splash of water that we came accross (and there certainly is a lot of water).

Unfortunately the fishing didn't turn out to be as prosperous as we had hoped (dreams of feeding ourselves on our bountiful catches). Even though we only caught a handful of fingerlings, non bigger than my hand (and one freshwater mussel????) it did take us to some of the most beautiful sights I could ever have dreamed about fishing in. Another positive thing that came out of our time on the water was that Becs mastered her casting. She has got it waxed and looks like a pro (and now she actually enjoys going fishing, rather than getting frustrated and shouting at Brad.)

Obviously would have loved to catch more fish, but would do it all again tomorrow.

We have definately eaten enough pasta to last a while...that brings us to the last meal we had in Christchurch before coming up to Wellington. We thought we had planned our food rashens pretty well, but didn't count on our cooking gas running out. So although we still had 2 packets of Pasta and pasta sauce, we couldn't cook them, so we ended up eating a tin of baked beans, and peanut butter and jam on crackers... we sure are looking forward to our meal on the flight to LA tonight!!!
