Yes it is the Jolly Green Giant.

Off of I-90 in Blue Earth, MN is a 55 foot stall statue of the Jolly Green Giant. It is in a little park and there is a museum downtown for everything Jolly (it was closed on Sunday).

We did stop and snap a couple of pictures (one with Alison to show the size of the statue).

By this point late in the day it was getting hot so we did not stay there long, but got back on the road for Sioux Falls.

Today was a day of seeing some of the things that make America great, the roadside attractions.

On to Sioux Falls, SD.

Alison's Entry

Statue in the middle of nowhere and odd, but it was interesting. Can't wait for our next stop.

I thought of you, Jan, the whole time I was here.

Hi you all! I LOVE the Jolly Green Giant statue-and Peggy will tell you why. Too bad that you missed seeing the "Jolly" museum.

Bill, you looked really scary (but happy) in the Hormel coat-maybe a good costume for Halloween....

Peggy, you need to be in some pictures. I want to see how you are holding up!

It's so much fun reading your blog, guys. Keep up the good work.
