We arrived around noon, which is when the Hormel SPAM Museum opened. Yes there is a museum to everything SPAM and I must say it is very slick. I originally thought it would be tacky and something cheesy, but no way.
Very professional exhibits and lots of hands on things to do. In one place they have you test your ability to pack SPAM cans (fake SPAM).
As you will see by the pictures there is a lot there, including a grocery store area showing you all of the things that Hormel makes.
Did you know that over 6 billion, yes billion, cans of SPAM have been sold since it was first made?
Did you know Hawaii eats the most SPAM per capita in the United States?
Now you do.
See some of the pictures from the museum. We ended up spending about 2 hours here,
It is really worth the time to go visit this great little museum.
Alison's Entry
Lots and lots of Spam. It was very interesting. Going to the giant next.
Peg's Additions:
I was really skeptical of this one but was pleasantly surprised. I would rate this as a diamond gem in AAA book and it's free. Bill and I raced to "make" SPAM cans. Of course he won!

Hello The Boyer Family - I feel like I'm on vacation too - I love SPAM - dipped in egg wash, covered in crackers and fried - delicious - enjoy the remainder of your trip
