Although we didn't think breakfast was included in the price of the room, a knock on the door lets us know that breakfast is ready!! Coffee and  a couple of pastries . Ohhh treat!!! (What!! no eggs!!! - It seems that everyone in Asia think that all foreigners have eggs and toast for breakfast!!) As soon as we finish we are off to find 2 motobikes and drivers as most sights are in the countryside.  Again, we take some time to negotiate the price for the day  ($12.00 per driver) and then we are off to visit a monastary on top of a mountain.  It is Mt Zwegabin which is 11 km south of Hpa-An and it is an amazing ride with great scenery along the way . As we turn off a side road towards the mountain we see fields of Buddhas.  They seem to be growing everywhere!  Quite a sight. The mountain looks pretty high but I convince Mireille to climb it with me.  We take 6 hours to climb up, visit the monastary, meet and talk with a monk, have lunch and then climb back down on the other side.  Our drivers were very happy to see us. I think they thought they would never see us again!!!  So after spending alot of time here we decide to continue on to visit another monastary at Thamanyat Kuang village.  Once there, all we can see is many more steps and it takes all the energy I have left to keep climbing to reach the Monastary.  Mireille, after taking a few steps, decides that she prefers to just stay at the bottom and wait for me at the entrance. She is already feeling the effects of the climb so I leave her at the entrance with a couple of Tylenol!!  The village looks very interesting but the sun is setting and we have to head back to Hpa-An.  It is getting darker and darker as we head back to town and it is getting a little scary because the lights on the bikes are not working so well (or at all so we are driving without lights) but once again we made it and once again had to start finding a restaurant where there was still something left to eat as it was nearing 8pm.  We did manage to find some tasty chicken curry with rice and then it was a much needed shower before  collapsing into bed!!!!
