I spent all morning trying to find an AC bus from Semerang to Cirebon and just got very frustrated as every office I was sent to did not have a bus going there. I finally find one and they want to charge me 130,000 which I might have paid if they would have been a little more convincing that it was actually going to leave tomorrow and that the van sitting in front of the office looked in a little better condition!!!  At around 1 p.m. it was just getting too hot and I gave up and decided to go back to the hotel and decide what my next step was going to be.  At the hotel, the front desk asked what I had visited in the morning and I told them that I had spent all morning trying to find a way to Cirebon.  Luckily, today the lady at the front desk speaks english very well and she told me that the offices I had been to (some mentionned in the Lonely Planet) were not good ones and that I should go with the "Coyo Bus".  She called to see when the AC Patas bus was leaving and wrote all the info. down including street address!!!  So I am leaving for Cirebon tomorrow. The bus ride will take 6 hrs and is costing 50,000. The bus station is on Jl. Siliwangi 496 and the phone is 7606925. I think the name is Bus Patas P.O. Coyo P.T.  The route is Semarang - Pekalongan-Tegal-Cirebon.

I am finding that there are much fewer people speaking english along the northern coast.  It is probably because this route sees much fewer foreigners/westerners than the southern route.
