We left Adelaide heading towards Port Augusta discussing whether we should travel to Coober Pedy, Uluru or the Flinders Rangers or should we just continue our journey following the coast. Still none the wiser we decided to stop at Port Pirie for lunch, where the kids got a well earned break from the car and a play at the local park.

Continuing on we stopped in Port Augusta at the Wadlata Outback Tourist Information Centre and again discussed which direction we should travel in next. We decided to head towards Whyalla on the Eyre Peninsula and leave Uluru for when we had more time. By this time it was getting late and time to find a place to stay for the night. We stopped at Point Lowly which was very windy.

On our way there we passed a sign that said "Perth Western Australia" the girls squealed in delight but David's face wasn't so excited!

To get to the Point Lowly camp site we also had to drive through a military training area and the Danger Sign that greated us regarding highly explosive projectiles had us a little concerned!
