Well I figured out I cannot drink wine.. even a glass for free with my great supper.  I woke up this am feeling tired, out of sorts and a couple of times before we left thought I had misplaced something, but we left town with all our belongings.   That was a good start.
When we left the hotel the man who normally was behind the desk was serving breakfast so I just pushed the key under the glass pane at the front desk and off we went... feeling  offf????
Well we had sent our bags ahead from our hotel in O Pino to Hotel Garcas in Lavacolla,  a short walk of 10km.  We stopped for tea about 10 and Barb paid.. We continued to stroll along and then when we thought we were about 2 km from our destination we stopped for tea again.
We had been enjoying the weather and the scenery again in the warmth without our backpacks. At the tea stop I pulled out my wallet to pay and realized... I hadn´t paid for the room!!   I was quite upset with myself as we started out and just decided we would fix it somehow.  We continued on down the road and just about the time we got to the town of Lavacolla I realized I had left my waterbottle in the restaurant where we stopped for tea.  Lavacolla is a small town, but it is laid out partially along the camino and partially by the highway.  I was getting kind of foggy brained again when we were there and asked a lady in a restaurant where our hotel was.  She indicated to the right...back 2 km.... my feet hurt, and I was not sure I understood... I thought she meant down the camino, Barb thought by the highway... we didn´t talk it out to clearly and so... we went ahead down the camino 2 km.   came back 2 km, after asking again, and then 2 on the highway after another round of asking for help.... First time we have messed up.... but that is part of the camino.. All I can say is I was so thankful I was not carrying a backpack that many km.
Good bed, private bathroom and good meal again (no wine) and we have clearer heads for the next stage.  We do not have a hotel booked in Santiago so will be carrying backpacks tomorrow.      To all of our readers.... there was no internet at Garcas... only ´wimpy wifi"  it didn´t work with my iphone.  So the photos will show up all on the next entry, as they come to the most recent when they leave my phone.  ( at home: note: I have now moved the photos to th correct entries)
