POLSKI:
Zadzwonilam do Dominisi probujac jej wytlumaczyc, gdzie jestem. Ledwo odlozylam sluchawke i... doslownie wpadlysmy na siebie! Obie prawie plakalysmy z radosci. Nie widzialysmy sie 1,5 roku!
Poszlysmy na obiad do restauracji Applebee`s. Gdy wyszlysmy z Grand Central, mimochodem obkrecilam sie wokolo, z glowa w strone nieba. Znajome drapacze chmur, a jednak wywolaly u mnie uczucie WOW.
Juz sama oranzada przed obiadem wypelnilam sobie zoladek. Zapomnialam jakie Amerykanie maja porcje hehe.
Przeturlalysmy sie na stacje metra Port Authority, czyli ogromny dworzec autobusowy. Z dwoma przesiadkami dotarlysmy do Brooklynu, gdzie mieszka Dominika. Stacja wysiadkowa miala z 50 schodow i na sam koniec znoszenia z nich walizki, moja reka nagle odmowila posluszenstwa. No i katastrofa - walizka spadla z 2 ostatnich schodow i wygial sie uchwyt, za ktory ja ciagnelam. Dotarlysmy do Dominiki i za pomoca mlotka troche go naprostowalysmy.

ENGLISH:
I was arriving to the JFK airport for my second time, so I rather knew what to expect. I was supposed to meet up with Dominika - my friend from camp Anne - at Grand Central station at Manhattan. At first she was going to pick me up from the airport, but she was working at the time when I arrived so she couldn`t. When I got off the airport, I took the Air Train to Howard Beach metro station. I got to Manhattan, had to change at Fultham station - one of the most confusing places I`ve ever seen.
I got off at the grand Central and came to the main hall. I remembered that there were stairs at each side so I thought Dominika to meet me there. I forgot though that there was a distance of 100 m between them. Addictionally, it was well crowded. I called Dominika trying to explain to her where I actually was at that moment. When we finished talking, I literally... bumped into her! We both nearly cried from happiness. We hadn`t see each other for like 1,5 year!
We went for a dinner to Applebee`s restaurant. When we got off the Grand Central, I couldn`t help, I had to turn around and put my head towards the sky. The sky scrappers looked familiar but still made me feel WOW. After a few hundred metres of holdning my suitcase (swamping with Dominika), when we reached the restaurant, I was sweating and exhausted. It is rather hard to tell someone 1,5 year within a couple of hours, but we gave to each other at least a general picture of what had been happening in our lives. After the dinner we were so full that we nearly exploded. I already forgot how large portions do Americans have hehe.
We konda rolled to the Port Authority station. We got to Brooklyn, where Dominika lives, after changing train 2 times. The staions had about 50 stairs and at the end suddenly my hand refused to cooperate with my body. The hadle I was carrying through, became a bit scratched as my sutcase was dropped off the 2 last stairs. We got to Dominika`s and fixed it a bit.
After a few mins of chat, a glass of orange juice and a shower we realized it was past 11 pm which meant 5 am for Poland. It was time to go to bed as I had to get up at 4 in the morning to catch my flight to San Francisco at 8:30.
