I`ll write about the wedding later on. Anyway, after severalhours on a National Express coach from Scotland, I finally made it to Manchester. My camp mate Pinky that I was going to visit, lived in Handforth, just out of Manchester. On Saturday evening we went for a dinner to the biggest shopping/restaurants centre in the UK. It was HUGE! From the outside it looked more like a palace actually. We spent a nice evening chatting with each other. All in all, we hadn`t seen each other since August of 2007!
In the next morning Clare`s (Pinky is actually Clare`s camp name) friend Charlie came to visit us and we went for a walk with the girls dogs - Ellie and Elfie. Then Clare drove us to Manchester telling  us on the way there that she always gets lost in there.  OK. We went to the Chinatown, wandered around and had a lunch at one of the chinese restaurant.yum yum. Then we continued wandering around the town, which was pretty funny as the girls seemed to not know the hot spots in Manchester. "What`s this building?" - I`d ask. "It`s a library [we`re getting closer there...] umm,no,it`s actually the council building"... etc.etc. I really did have fun with Clare and Charlie though! We went to the Canal Street and went to a pub for a cider. There were strangely dressed women sitting by the table next to us,but I didn`t pay much attention at them. Eventually when they were leaving and one of them said something to Charlie, I founf out that they actually were... men, lol!
Clare and Charlie walked me to the coach station and had to say goodbye to me around 2 pm. Istillhad plenty of time before my couches departure, so I decided to make another walk, this time by myself and with my small suitcase - to the cathedral. I`d heard it was pretty and I really wanted to see it. Following the signs for tourists, I managed to find it. On my way back to the coach station, I stopped by at Starbacks in order to get some coffeee. About 4 pm I was already leaving Manchester, the city of brick, and heading to my beloved London...
