When Jim is heading home he doesn't want to stop. We drove through a horrible thunder, lightening and rain storm last night about 7:00 PM and thought about stopping at a state park but when we pulled in we were the only ones in the park and the first sign I saw was a low water warning.  We didn't want to be in the middle of nowhere stuck in the mud so we continued on. About 9:00 PM Jim pulled into a tiny little park in a tiny little town and we both went to bed. We were in Northern Colorado, Idalia, off the Interstate. Jim wanted me to set the alarm for 11:30 PM, I think it was closer to 1:00 AM when he got up and started driving.  I'm not sure how long he drove when he came back to bed for awhile then got up again and we are now in Casper, WY.  I stayed in the camper and rock & rolled all night long.  I just can't drive at night and I don't know how Jim can do it and stay awake.

I think we are stopping for breakfast.  More later. Another long day of driving, mostly Jim.  No sightseeing now, we want to be home.  We are almost to Butte, MT tonight and found one of the last spots in this campground.  Jim took a little hike when we got here so Sadie could get some exercise and have a dip in the Missouri River, actually three rivers come together here to form the beginnings of the Missouri.

We are both exhausted - driving all night with little naps took a toll on both of us.  I'm going to bed early because I know Jim will be up early to hit the road.  Good night.

I have had so much fun reading your blog. Sure hope Lindsey can set this up also when she is gone. I know getting home is always good. See you soon

I have shared your blog with my parents to try to inspire them to do the same when they travel! They are "considering" it. I hear you about just wanting to be home. I like that Karen can sleep while Jim drives if he is so inclined. I tend to like to drive at night...Erica, not so much, so that is a good arrangement for ya'll. See you in Yakima in a week or so! You've been missed...
