What a perfect day for the reunion.  Sunny, not too hot, no rain and lots of people.  The count was 71 according to Mary.  Everyone brought food to the pitch-in dinner and everything was delicious.  Some of us brought quilts and other crafts that we had been working on.  My cousin Susan, who I met for the first time, is a wonderful Art Quilter.  Her quilts are very intricate and unique in beautiful bright colors.  Gail brought a black and white quilt she made and hand quilted for Erin. Lisa showed us her knitting projects and Joyce also brought a quilt. Sylvia* showed us her hooked rug projects including one for 4 H to be turned in soon.  Beth brought seven flavors of homemade ice cream made from her "farm". She has chickens and a cow and a goat and I think a calf, and also bee hives.  She does it all.

I'm not sure I can remember where everyone came from but here are the states I do remember:  Florida, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Texas, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Indiana and of course, Washington

Wayne gave me old photos from Aunt Edna's album, they are so special to have, I'll really enjoy having them.  Rebecca brought her genealogy books and the family trees she had put together and Mary had many antiques set around with notes from Aunt Marjorie as to where they came from.

It was a day full of memories.

Love to all,

Karen

*Sylvia won a State Fair Ribbon on her rug, which means it will be entered in the State Fair. This from a letter from Mary Ellen after we arrived home.

It's nice to see you are having a lot of fun. I recognize some of these people, if you can believe that!

What a wonderful time you both are having. And the quilts are beautiful. I really like the beautiful porch.
