This was the last day I spent with Larry and the Rosen gang in San Francisco. It's always nice to spend time with Larry and Mariana, they're great company and wonderful hosts. Their 2 young boys, Munchkin and Schmoopik (not their given names, but their 'operational' ones), are as entertaining as their appellations would suggest. I got around the city quite a bit during my stay, and also got to Sausalito and down to Santa Cruz. Larry's place was by Buena Vista Park, near the east(?) end of Haight Ashbury.
San Francisco is an interesting town, but I can't say that I've got it figured out. It seems like a place I would consider living, but I didn't quite get comfortable there. But the access to northern California is worth a lot, and the weather is a plus, I guess, though it was just as tricky as the town itself. It certainly seems amenable to an older single dude, even a straight one.
The bike did not like SF. Too many hills and stops and starts. Not that that matters. Really.
