19 days and 6,500 miles since Brooklyn, I finished the first leg of my trip - really a pre-leg - when I pulled in to San Francisco today. I'm going to stay here for about a week with my good friend Larry, his wife Mariana and their 2 kids, who have rented a house here for the month. It will be great to spend some time with them, explore SF, catch up on the blog, see some other friends, and do a little maintenance and prep on the bike.
