Booking a late afternoon flight was a very good idea. It's now 1325 and we’re sitting comfortably at the airport, waiting for our flight which won’t start boarding until 1530.
We had our final German breakfast this morning. I mentioned how much I love bröchen and the waitress heard me; she went and got me another one and some foil so I could wrap it and take it on the flight.
We leisurely packed our bags and walked to the train station, purchased our tickets to the airport and had a delicious lunch with ice cream for dessert.
I expect to finish the book I’ve been reading while at the gate and be ready for a nice nap on the plane. We were able to change our seat assignments so Joanne can have a window seat and I can be on the aisle.
Auf wiedersehen, Deutschland!
The trip home was quite uneventful. I finished my book, watched two movies and one recorded television show. Of course, I haven’t gotten any sleep, so I expect to sleep well tonight.
I have to say, this has been a very enjoyable trip. I'm looking forward to going back next year.
