Thanksgiving -

I had a nice holiday....thusly
the moneys fairly tight until we get paid at the start of December, which was slightly disappointing. We went to a karaoke night in the Tavern last Wednesday which was good craic and saw all three of us singing. Dan sang Welcome to the Jungle, Nicky did California Girls (which was good considering he didn't know the tune of it) and I did Light my Fire...complete with foot on table, groin thrusting action in the face of some local drinkers. That was brilliant craic and we got chatting to plenty of people after our performances.
We went back to the same bar on Thursday and got chatting to a local lunatic ex powder fiend called Barry. We also got chatting to the bar maid, who turns out to actually own the place with her sister - she bought us a round at one point because we're becoming such regulars.
Didn't do anything at all on Friday...none of the poetry readings I wanted to go to were on because of the holiday weekend.
Saturday I went downtown again to do some shopping. I got myself a new MP3 player in Best Buy.
Sat night was back to Tavern for Karaoke at the invitation of the girl that owns the place....but she was leaving as we got there and there seemed to be an awful lot of guys in the place...Mexican guys with T-shirts tucked into jeans....might have been some kind of chufty convention so I sang Closer by Nine Inch Nails - very funny, if you're familiar with the lyrics - and we left early then headed to another bar for a relaxing Guinness
