My first week was one of settling in and meeting old friends.  This I believe is my 5 trip to this area.  I have partnered up with some locals to help establish a couple of businesses the last time I was here.  We have the 49 Juice Bar which caters to locals mostly kids from the adjoining elementry school.  We have developed it into a subway type shop but with drinks.  We now boost over 510 card holding members.  School will start on Monday and our business will start to boom again.  We have 3 full time employees and 2 part time.  All must learn english as part of there job.  The tutoring center is doing very well also we tutor a number of local kids and a few shop workers.  During the time I was gone all ran smoothly.  They did have a flood and we had 2 feet of water in the bar for a few days but they cleaned it all up and get it up and running within a couple of days. 
Yangshuo is a wonderful area for the tourist who wishes to see a part of China that has not yet disappeared to the pressures of the west

.  Although each time I come I see it creeping in.  You can still go within 30 minutes of less and see unbelieveable local sites and fantastic natural ones.  From drifting on the River Li on a "Bamboo" raft.  The government has order all bamboo rafts now to be made of plastic look a likes to conserve on the bamboo. (but still a fantastic journey).  To strolling through wonderful caverns with underground rivers and pools of pure water.  It still has a little something for everyone.  I hope to show you some as my time goes on.
But like I said this week was more to settle in and enjoy life.  We have had rain for the first 4 days, the first couple during the day, then the next couple at night alone and now it has been sunny.  The weather is a bit like Hawaii or Florida a bit humid for me. The will all stop in about a week.
Ok I better try to get this out on line before I loose my connection.  Like I said this is a new hotel very nice but some of the wireless problems have not been worked out.
