Where I stayed
We all know Nell loves the heat and the conditions could only be described as balmy....
It didn't take long for the first travel hickup to occur.
On arriving at the Carlton for our last couple of nights of luxury we were told our Superior Double suite would have two single beds. After an 8 hour flight and a drive through town with someone who thought he was Mark Webber my sense of humor was its normal self. An hour later waiting and a free $8 glass of coke we got the room we booked.
Started the day with a big breakfast and a walk up Orchid road not to exciting until we braved the subway system. This was an experience CLEAN, fast, efficient, cheap and no train drivers, easy to get around once we worked out the ticket machines. (Way to Go) QR has a little way to go....
Great food at China town and a great chocolate waffle treat in little India.
Day 2
A long day - a few more issues with the Carlton losing Nell's freezer packs for her injections and after 45 minutes and us packing all our bags into the car they found them.
Went to the Raffles hotel but opted not to have the Singapore Sling at $30 a glass.
We fly out to Heathrow on time just after 11pm a long day.
